Three steps before you
sign anything.

Book demos with your combination, not just your favourite.
You identified a combination of categories that covers your site. Don't just demo the one you're most excited about - demo all of them. See how they fit together. Ask each vendor how they integrate with the others on your shortlist. The combination only works if the pieces actually connect.

Bring this guide to the demo.
Use the six evaluation questions from Section 4 as your script. Ask every vendor the same questions in the same order. It's the only way to compare honestly. The vendors who welcome the questions are usually the ones worth talking to.

Run the stress test again - with the vendor in the room.
Ask them directly: if we buy your system, which documents are still getting printed six months from now? Then compare their answer to what you already worked out in Section 3. If the answers don't match, one of you is wrong - and it's worth finding out which.
